We had a great spring weekend at Lake Barkley State Resort Park. We hosted our first Warbler & Wildflower Weekend with Land Between The Lakes NRA. Bird highlights of the weekend include Northern Parula, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Blue-winged Warbler, Yellow-throated Warbler, Pine Warbler, Prairie Warbler, Prothonotary Warbler, Common yellowthroat, Yeloow-throated Vireo, Red-eyed Vireo, White-eyed Vireo, Warbling Vireo, Scarlet Tanager, Orchard Oriole, Baltimore Oriole, Great Egret, Black-crowned Night-Heron, and Bald Eagle. Blooming wildflowers this week include Trillium, Fire Pink, Dwarf Larkspur, and False Garlic. Wild Columbine is also blooming in our wildflower garden, and both Pink and White Dogwoods are blooming on the park.
