These restrictions and prohibitions are based on Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS - state law), Kentucky Administrative Regulations (KAR), Kentucky Department of Parks Policy and Kentucky State Nature Preserve Regulations. The Kentucky State Park System is a state agency mandated to provide outdoor recreation opportunities to the public while protecting the states natural, cultural, and historic resources.
