In order to protect the park’s natural resources, promote visitor safety, and assure quality outdoor experiences for all, certain activities are restricted or prohibited within Kentucky State Parks. These restrictions and prohibitions are based on Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS - state law), Kentucky Administrative Regulations (KAR), Kentucky Department of Parks Policy and Kentucky State Nature Preserve Regulations. The Kentucky State Park System is a state agency mandated to provide outdoor recreation opportunities to the public while protecting the states natural, cultural, and historic resources.
