Jamie Avery has been the Parks Program Supervisor at Barren River Lake State Resort Park since June 2011. She transferred from Dale Hollow Lake State Resort park after working there for 5 years. Prior to working for the state, she worked at Mammoth Cave National Park for five years. Jamie graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2005 with a degree in Outdoor Recreation. She is a certified interpretive guide (CIG) with the National Association for Interpretation and she also attended Leave No Trace training. When she’s not having fun at work, she enjoys spending time with her family camping, taking photos, horseback riding, kayaking, hiking, spelunking, and pretty much anything outdoors.
